Room 1: Montuïri

Room number 1 – Montuïri – is the closest room to the village of Montuïri and for this reason it was named accordingly, although it would also have been appropriate to name it the oven room, because of the blackened original stone wall of the alcove which was once the old wood-burning oven and is now the access to the walk-in closet. A large double bed , 2.10 metres wide or two individual beds each 1.05 metres wide are available in this generous sized room with one of the main features being a large glass frame enclosing the original stone wall from when the building was constructed centuries ago. An immense private terrace leads directly to the olive grove with spectacular views of thousands of olive trees and the beautiful surrounding countryside. The terrace faces the west giving you the opportunity to experience incredible sunsets which undoubtedly will leave you with unforgettable memories.

The private bathroom consists of a walk-in shower, washbasin, heated towel rail and a hairdryer. There are three steps down to the bedroom with a walk-in closet, individually controlled air-conditioning (hot and cold according to the season), DTT and satellite television, HDMI and USB sockets for your laptops, gadgets, a mini-bar and a safe.

The locals comment that Montuïri was never a village that really stood out but now it´s the complete opposite and definitely worth a visit. It´s a charming village with quaint shops, good restaurants and every Monday there is a small market in the town centre. There are many interesting and historical buildings, some of which are Son Fornès- the archaeological museum, pre-historic remains and the hermitage of Puig de Sant Miquel. The village hosts some entertaining special events such as” the dance of the Cossiers “which lasts for a week in mid-August and the unforgettable “Partridge Fair” which is celebrated in December.
